On the days when she’s not wearing the business owner hat, Nicole is on the front line at a busy hospital trauma centre in Melbourne, delivering cutting edge care. She thrives in busy mode when she’s making a difference.
Nicole passionately believes that Rhythm First Aid can make a difference.
The mission is to disrupt the way first aid and CPR training is delivered, making it accessible, engaging and relevant. That tailor made first aid training for life equips more people to be safer and healthier without having to rely on the health care system – wherever they live.
Nicole grew up on a farm in south-west Victoria. Today, home is a small country town. She travels to the big smoke for hospital work (the best of both worlds). She loves the advantages of rural living. She’s also aware of disadvantages, including limited access to health services.
First aid training for life
Nicole understands that different places and different people have different needs at different times. That’s why she loves training diverse clients across Victoria - from farmers in the sticks, to school kids in the playground and the Collins Street lawyers in their gleaming offices.
At hospital Nicole meets stressed parents and cares for their sick kids. Across a decade of nursing she’s witnessed how first aid skills can save and improve lives. She’s also seen the devastating impact of a lack of knowledge. Increasingly - in a world bombarded by social media – Nicole has observed parents who need more education and reassurance than their kids need emergency care.
Nicole has responded with compassion and passion to tailor infant and child first aid training of the highest quality, delivering life skills in a captivating and fun environment. People walk away with confidence and competence.
Highly skilled and experienced healthcare professional
Nicole is an avid learner. It’s in her nature. So it’s no surprise that this approach is embedded into her business. It means that Rhythm First Aid’s courses and resources are evidence-based, dynamic and up to date.
Nicole has formal qualifications and extensive experience in emergency, paediatrics, education, and she has also worked as a School Nurse:
Bachelor of Nursing
Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology)
Graduate Certificate of Nursing Practice (Paediatrics)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS)
Accredited Nurse Immuniser.
Nicole loves to receive your ideas and feedback, and she’s up for collaborations with communities, like-minded people and aligned brands.
