OUR WHY
Our founder Nicole Gleeson grew up on a dairy farm (her folks and the cows are still at it). Today she lives in central Victoria. She also works at a major Melbourne hospital. Nicole has seen the best and worst of it.
The city-country divide in health access and outcomes is borne out in statistics. Ambulance waiting times. Long distance travel to receive care. Beyond the data, the Rhythm First Aid team encounters it daily; it shows up in our work and communities. The real life stuff.
Rural and regional people encounter unique conditions and risks - farm and road accidents for example, plus the geographic isolation that can impact mental and physical health.
How We Can Help
• We supply all first aid kits, automated external defibrillators (AED) in addition to on farm CPR and First Aid Training.
• We complete audits, recommendations of first aid kids, medical supplies and AEDs.
Life-Saving Training
For too long rural health has been an after-thought. Health and education resources shouldn’t be limited by postcode. Rhythm First Aid bridges the gap by making high quality and relevant training accessible, right across Victoria.
Our online resources are top notch, but we also travel to rural and regional areas to engage people directly.
We don’t parachute in with city training for country people. Context matters. We’re rural people who speak the lingo and connect with local conditions so that people get tailor made first aid. Training for life.
Incidents can disrupt your farm’s activities so it makes good business sense to be prepared and on the front foot.
Get in touch to discuss how we can support you to improve safety on your farm. We’d also love to hear your ideas about how together we might tackle the rural-city divide to keep our farming communities healthier and safer.
