Working on the frontline of a busy paediatric emergency department, I care for children experiencing everything from everyday injuries to life threatening emergencies. It’s fast paced, challenging, and deeply rewarding. The benefits of cold and ice therapy are well documented but getting children to apply ice was a struggle, they were uncomfortable, screaming and running away. I thought there has to be an easier way, so I created BUMPIES. 

I designed the bright squishy beads for kids as they make for a satisfying sensorial experience, while the playful characters work their magic in distraction. BUMPIES help kids self-soothe, reset, and ultimately feel better.

BUMPIES are functional and practical, they have an adjustable strap to help hold the BUMPIE in place, or remove the strap to place in your little one's lunch boxes to help keep their lunch fresh. Bonus!
